This advisory applies to the SOHO Standard, SOHO
advanced and Enterprise Editions of MX-Contact.
To publish a form, follow these simple steps:
- Save the .oft form you want to publish in a suitable location
(e.g. My Documents)
- Open Outlook and select the folder you want to publish the form
to.
- Select Tools->Forms->Choose a Form.
- Select User Templates in File System
from the Look In dropdown box.
- Navigate to the file system folder where your form is, select
it and click Open.
- The form should open. Ignore any messages, and ignore the fact
that it may open as a standard Outlook form.
- Click Tools->Forms->Publish Form as.
Navigate to the folder you want to publish the form to (which
should be the current folder). Select the displayed form and click
Publish. Overwrite the existing form.
- Open a new item in the folder and check that the new form is
showing correctly.
- Select the MX-Contact menu on the main Outlook menu bar and
click Manage Custom Fields. Make sure there are
no fields listed on the left hand side. If there are, move them
over to the right hand side and click OK. You
will need dbowner permissions on the SQL database
in order to create the new fields.
