The Personal, Professional and SOHO Standard
and Advanced Editions use a SQL Server Express database.
To backup your data, do the following (Note: This
must be done from the computer on which SQL Express is installed):
- Locate the program MXSQLManager.exe from the
\Program Files\MXContactEE folder.
- Then run the utility:

- Click on Backup. The following dialog will
appear:

- If required you can change the path/name of your backup file.
Then click Backup.
- You will get an indication that the backup is progressing. You
should then get a message that it was completed successfully:
- Locate the backup file (by default MXContact.bak
in the default Backup folder of the Microsoft
SQL Server instance) and copy this to a secure location, preferably
stored offsite.
