The Personal and Professional Editions use an Outlook Data File (also known as a Personal Folders or PST file) to store all data. This file is called MXContact.pst and is located in your \Program Files\MXContact folder.

To transfer the file, do the following:

1. Close Outlook. You may need to log off and log in again or even restart your computer because Outlook sometimes "locks" this file in an open state so that the backup routine cannot successfully back up the file.
   
   
2. Backup the MXContact.pst as described in the following FAQ:
   
   FAQS136 - Backing up your Outlook Data File
   
   
3. Install MX-Contact on the new computer, using the standard Installation Package.
   
   
4. Overwrite the MXContact.pst in the \Program Files\MXContact folder with the file you backup up from your old computer.
   
   
5. Open Outlook using MXContact.exe and activate the new Outlook Data File (If necessary).
