Skills and Availability of your Internal Resources

Once you have decided to implement the MX-Contact system and have defined your customisation requirements, you may want your internal resources to perform certain tasks during the implementation. These tasks may include installation, configuration or external development/integration etc. In order to do this, it is essential that the people performing these tasks have the required skills and training to do so.

To install the system, you will need a person familiar with Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000 product family as well as Microsoft Outlook and Exchange 5.5/2000 administration. ExchangeWise strongly encourages you to have available a certified Microsoft NT/Exchange Administrator before attempting to implement and support MX-Contact.

Similarly, if you plan to do any configuration, the person doing this must be familiar with the MX-Contact configuration environment, Outlook programming and the Outlook Object Model, and VB Script development.

For external development or integration, it is essential that the person has the relevant Visual Basic, Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Exchange/Outlook Programming experience.

Without these necessary skills, the implementation generally takes much longer and requires more resources from ExchangeWise or other parties.
